DJANGO WALKER
Django Walker is the son of folk and country music legend Jerry Jeff Walker (“Mr. Bojangles.”) Often compared to Jimmy Buffet and having written “Something ‘Bout a Boat” which was included in Buffet’s Broadway show, he’s performed with everyone from EmmyLou Harris and Joe Ely to Texas Red Dirt legends Cody Canada, Reckless Kelly, Micky & the Motorcars, Jeff Crosby and has been an ongoing feature at Idaho’s legendary Braun Brothers Reunion festival. Django epitomizes the mix of eclectic musical influences that has always characterized the maverick independence of Texas music. He has continued Jerry Jeff’s legendary “Camp Belize,” bringing a handful of favorite songwriters to the Palapa Bar on Ambergris Key for 3-4 shows each winter for his and his father’s devotees.
